Things are in work behind the scenes at Real Madrid to try to make sure that Kylian Mbappe's signing will be completed ahead of next summer, having failed to snatch the Frenchman away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The goal is now to close his arrival as soon as 2021 has ended and the player is available to discuss terms ahead of making a move as a free agent on July 1, 2022. The ball is now in Mbappe's court, and he'll have to resist pressure from PSG for four months now and not renew.
